Аннотация: В статье представлена методология исследований в области дескриптивной диахронической орфографии. Целью работы является разработка системы критериев выбора вариантов написаний на разных этапах становления изучаемой орфограммы. Необходимость такой системы обосновывается как описанием процесса диахронического анализа, так и конкретным примером такого анализа. Особое внимание уделяется раскрытию таких важных для теории письма понятий, как «узус», «норма», «кодификация» и соотношения между данными понятиями. Особое место уделяется вопросу о правомерности употребления термина «узуальная норма», для чего подробно рассматриваются аргументы, подтверждающие некорректность данного термина. Кроме того, обсуждаются проблемы соотношения принципов правописания как инструментов дескриптивной (описательной) орфографии и правил как результата деятельности ортологов, кодифицирующих нормы письма. В основу системы критериев дескриптивной орфографии положена система правил орфографии прескриптивной, а именно правила современной орфографии из нового электронного ресурса «Орфографическое комментирование русского словаря» (ОРОСС) Е. В. Бешенковой, О. Е. Ивановой, Е. В. Теньковой. Новизна полученных в статье результатов обусловлена отсутствием методологии исследований в области дескриптивной диахронической орфографии. В работе раскрыты такие важные для теории письма понятия, как «узус», «норма», «кодификация» и выяснено соотношение между данными понятиями. В результате установлена неправомерность употребления термина «узуальная норма», для чего подробно рассмотрены аргументы, подтверждающие некорректность данного термина, в частности то, что в определенных контекстах термины «узус» и «норма» могут употребляться безразлично. Итогом работы явилась система критериев выбора вариантов написаний на разных этапах становления орфограммы. Разработка оригинальной системы критериев выбора вариантов написаний проведена на основе современного свода правил орфографии. Область применения результатов исследования определена путем описания процесса диахронического анализа орфограммы и проиллюстрирована конкретным примером такого анализа.

Abstract: The article presents the methodology of research in the field of descriptive diachronic spelling. The aim of the work is to develop a system of criteria for choosing spelling variants at different stages of the formation of the studied orthogram. The need for such a system is justified both by the description of the diachronic analysis process and by a specific example of such an analysis. Special attention is paid to the disclosure of such important concepts for the theory of writing as "usage", "norm", "codification" and the relationship between these concepts. Special attention is paid to the question of the legality of the use of the term "customary norm", for which the arguments confirming the incorrectness of this term are considered in detail. In addition, the problems of correlation between the principles of spelling as tools of descriptive (descriptive) spelling and the rules as a result of the activities of orthologists codifying the norms of writing are discussed. The system of criteria for descriptive spelling is based on the system of rules of prescriptive spelling, namely the rules of modern spelling from the new electronic resource "Spelling commentary of the Russian Dictionary" (OROSS) by E. V. Beshenkova, O. E. Ivanova, E. V. Tenkova. The novelty of the results obtained in the article is due to the lack of research methodology in the field of descriptive diachronic spelling. The paper reveals such important concepts for the theory of writing as "usage", "norm", "codification" and clarifies the relationship between these concepts. As a result, the illegality of the use of the term "customary norm" was established, for which the arguments confirming the incorrectness of this term were considered in detail, in particular, that in certain contexts the terms "usage" and "norm" can be used indifferently. The result of the work was a system of criteria for choosing spelling options at different stages of the formation of the orthogram. The development of an original system of criteria for choosing spelling variants was carried out on the basis of a modern set of spelling rules. The scope of the research results is determined by describing the process of diachronic analysis of the orthogram and illustrated by a specific example of such analysis.

Аннотация: Предметом исследования являются закономерности распределения слитных и дефисных написаний сложных существительных в современных правилах. Особое внимание уделяется выявлению основных критериев оформления слов исследуемой группы в «Правилах русской орфографии и пунктуации» 1956 г., до сих пор имеющих статус свода норм правописания государственного языка. Поскольку действующие правила устарели, в работе рассмотрены также предписания обновленных, но не имеющих официального статуса академических сводов правил: полного академического справочника 2006 г. и новейшего электронного ресурса ОРОСС «Орфографическое комментирование русского словаря» Е. В. Бешенковой, О. Е. Ивановой, Е. В. Теньковой.   Новизна исследования состоит в том, что в нем впервые выполнен анализ современных правил правописания сложных существительных и лежащих в их основании критериев. Установленная непоследовательность кодификации указанных норм берет начало в «Правилах русской орфографии и пунктуации» 1956 г. и получает дальнейшее развитие в современной справочной и учебной литературе, в частности в полном академическом справочнике 2006 г. В результате сделан вывод о необходимости включения в базовый свод орфографических правил раздела, содержащего основные нормы разграничения слитных и дефисных написаний, изложенные кратко, просто и ясно.

Abstract: The subject of the study is the regularities of the distribution of merged and hyphenated spellings of complex nouns in modern rules. Special attention is paid to identifying the main criteria for the design of the words of the studied group in the "Rules of Russian spelling and punctuation" of 1956, which still have the status of a set of spelling norms of the state language. Since the current rules are outdated, the work also considers the prescriptions of updated, but not having an official status, academic rulebooks: the complete academic handbook of 2006 and the newest electronic resource of OROSS "Spelling commentary of the Russian Dictionary" by E. V. Beshenkova, O. E. Ivanova, E. V. Tenkova. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time it analyzes the modern rules of spelling of complex nouns and the criteria underlying them. The established inconsistency of codification of these norms originates in the "Rules of Russian Spelling and Punctuation" of 1956 and is further developed in modern reference and educational literature, in particular in the complete academic handbook of 2006. As a result, it is concluded that it is necessary to include in the basic set of spelling rules a section containing the basic rules for distinguishing between merged and hyphenated spellings, set out briefly, simply and clearly.
